About David Fish

David Fish was born in Maryville, Missouri, the son of John Frederick "Fred" Fish, a Christian Church minister. He lived in Missouri, Iowa, and Illinois growing up, graduating from high school in Joliet, Illinois.

He enrolled at Ozark Bible College in the fall of 1971 and graduated in 1976. He held student ministries in Oklahoma and Missouri during his student days.

David married Rosemary McGill in 1975. David and Rose left for missionary service in Chile in 1976. They have three children, all born in Chile: Charissa, married to Steven Robinett since 1998; Gregory, married to Emily Benson since 2000; and Kimberly, who has permission to consider getting married when she's 38 years old. They have three grandsons, Nathan Gregory Fish, born June 12, 2002, and Elijah Montgomery Fish, born March 11, 2004, and Samuel Malachi, born December 5, 2006.

Charissa is a graduate of both Missouri Southern State University and OCC. Both Greg and Kimberly are graduates of Ozark Christian College.

David served as a missionary in Chile, South America from 1976-1994, at which time he joined the faculty of Ozark Christian College.

David was a contributing author of The Encyclopedia of the Stone-Campbell Movement, published by William B. Eerdmans, 2004.

David has an M.A. from Columbia International University (SC). He has done additional graduate work at Pittsburg State University (KS), at the University of Missouri - Columbia, at Trinity International University (IL), and recently passed his comprehensive exams for the Ph.D degree at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. He expects to finish his dissertation during 2008.
