About Me

Nemo Fish
I taught at Ozark Christian College in Joplin, MO for 30 years (1994-2024). I am beginning to experience what it means to be retired. In an earlier life I was a missionary in Santiago, CHILE. I speak Spanish just about every day of the year, and enjoy reading good Latin American literature.

I have an M.A. in missions from Columbia International University (SC), and have done graduate studies at University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Pittsburg State University, Trinity International University, and the University of Missouri-Columbia. I was a Ph.D candidate at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, but was thrown to the water (it’s a good thing I’m a fish) when the timeline to finish the dissertation ran out. So I am one of those guys, much to my shame.

I am unabashedly Christian. If I have to choose only one (1) favorite Bible verse, at least for today, it would probably be 2 Cor. 5:21.
